Injured Birds

What to do if you find an injured bird

What to do if you find a baby bird

New Raptor Hospital

We welcome children at the centre and there is lots to keep the kids entertained during your visit. There are usually games and activities that can be played, or things to find out about - ask at the shop for these when you come in - for example a sheet with silhouettes of birds and you have to work out which is which and win a feather!

Many children want to get close to the birds and touch or stroke them, we don't allow this for the safety and health of the birds, but it is possible to book a handling session where kids can hold a bird on the fist for the chance to see it up close and learn more about it from the handler. *Terms and conditions apply please contact us for more details.

If your children want a more up close and personal visit why not consider a birthday present of a half day experience. Available for children of ten years and over they make a great present for the nature enthusiast, something very different to talk about in the playground.

Don't forget the birthday parties that we do for kids (and adults as well!). They are great fun and the kids will be entertained for the afternoon and you don't have to worry.
