The ICBP began life as the Falconry Centre in 1966. As the first of its kind in the UK, it attracted a lot of interest and media attention (as indeed it does today).   As the internet has developed, old films have been converted to a digital format and been made available online.   Here are one or two from the mists of time.

FALCONRY CENTRE - 1969

This film clip (unfortunately without sound) features Phillip Glasier working at the Centre, ably assisted by a young Jemima.

A Day out in Gloucester 1987

This BBC programme, presented by Angela Rippon, was made in 1987 and features a visit to the Falconry Centre, showing a flying demonstration by Jemima.

The clip runs with Real Player and the Centre features after 19 minutes and 45 seconds! However, if it loads quickly, this time can be significantly shortened. ENJOY

NB this clip runs well when launched as a standalone in Real Player

Eardisland 2008

Eardisland interview

This video  was recorded in early 2008 before I had moved the birds from their expensive quarantine quarters in Hereford, to temporary housing at Eardisland. I had bought an apple farm just outside Eardisland near Leominster, (and lived in the steel barn for 8 months!) so I could start again. As it turned out, half way through 2008 my old place came on the market as a private house and I managed with enormous help from the Chenevix Trench family and Lloyds Bank (and Charlie Heap) to buy it back. So now we are all home again, and I am determined that the only way I will leave here now is feet first!!  - JPJ

SEDGE AND ACER PLAYING - 2009

This series of clips, taken by a visitor, is a home movie showing the antics of Sedge and Acer as puppies.

The commentary is just background chatter but you will not be able to watch to the end without a chuckle!!
